Today has been non-stop. Sheesh.
Alan fixed all of the tricycles that needed repair today. There are three that needed more attention so he’s taking them to the work shop to get repaired. Those elves do good work.
Last night it poured - coupled with ridiculous amounts of thunder. Neither of us slept well but it wasn’t because of the rain. We’re both on edge about house stuff. More than once last night Alan woke me up talking - more like shouting - in his sleep. “Inspection!” And then later, “Support beams!”
This process of buying a house is defeating at times.

Back to reality - Bici had their 3rd Birthday Party this weekend. I volunteered and did not race. They had a great turnout with a few out-of-towners and some new faces too. And busy weekends lead into busy weeks…
Today work is taking us on a “surprise retreat”. Our only clue: dress for this mystery place is business casual. hmmm? Maybe we’re getting portraits. Who knows! Summer programs start in June (after a great long vacation!) and we will find out our team assignments for that today. Everyone I work with is awesome…any team I’m on will be cool.
LOTS of exciting stuff on the horizon! I don’t want to jinx it by talking about it but we should know - good news or bad - today.
The Spellin Contes: Whoop Dee Doo! at its best.
I’ve always wanted to create a public access show focused on childhood fun and learning (Think Soul Train meets Sesame St). Chic-A-Go-Go (an on-air dance party out of Chicago) and Whoop Dee Doo! (general fun from Kansas City) are two of my favs.

One thing I needed to do for our St. John trip (that, by the way, I am SO EXCITED FOR) was buy new film for the camera. I was so excited to find the Impossible Project’s supply of amazing film options for old Polaroid cameras. Megs is picking some out.
I took the photo above the last time I was at the beach - GASP! - almost TWO YEARS ago!
